The exhibition presents the Cres maritime history in ancient times: the population, maritime and trade routes – with an emphasis on the Amber Route, which included Cres, the main ports, types of ships, the legend of Medea and the origin of the name Apsyrtides, and the most significant for us – ancient shipwrecks. The Cres Museum holds a rich selection of objects (amphorae, ceramic vessels) from the Pernat I and Pernat II shipwrecks, which will be exhibited and placed in the context of ancient Cres.
